What is Fresh Wave and why should you be excited?

Fresh Wave is a new odor eliminator sold exclusively at Target. It is being launched today August 16, 2015.

Fresh Wave has a odor removing spray, odor removing gel, odor removing packs. I was excited when I got this package in the mail. Having 3 Chesapeakes that are always into muck and water, rolling in the stinkiest stuff this couldn’t have come at a better time. I also have other odors in the house that could use some removing.

I first wanted to try out the odor removing gel. I had the perfect spot for it. To open you unscrew the cap, peel off the foil to keep it fresh, put the lid back on and put where you want to remove the odors and let the gel do it’s magic.

My closet is filled with stinky shoes so this was the place for the odor removing gel.

The closet is also filled with jackets that I got from my friend who smoked. I have tried other odor removers as in sprays, lotions to clean the jackets ect and nothing has worked so far. Each time I open the closet I would get a whoosh of smoke smell. I have been using the Fresh Wave odor removing gel for about a month now and there has been no more whoosh of smoke smell just a fresh crisp to me ocean scent.

Have a whole room that stinks? Or a mighty powerful litter box?You’ll need our Gel. Just open the lid and remove the seal. Replace slotted lid and place gel where odors are strongest. Sniff. Smile. Repeat every 30-60 days. (Hint: The gel will disappear as it evaporates.)

Next I put the odor removing spray in the kitchen so I could use it for tough kitchen smells.

What’s tougher than the smell of garbage?

After taking the garbage out I would spritz the can with the odor removing spray and each time I opened the garbage I got a fresh clean smell.

Spray away odors like you mean it. Don’t cover them up! Our spray can be used on clothing, pet bedding, backpacks, sports gear, shoes and trash cans. Just to name a few. “How?” you ask. Just shake. Spray. Smile. For stronger odors, a few more spritzes will do the trick. When you smell “fresh air,” it’s working. Really. It’s that easy. (Hint: For special materials, like silk, try a little test to avoid water spotting.)

Remember earlier on in the post I said I had 3 Chesapeakes? Well this is the type of odor I have to put up with, Nellie swimming in pea green gak.

Glory shaking her water off but the smell is still left behind. I have a dog room in my house and my car is my dogs car, I have crates and all my dog gear in my car for when we go training so as you can imagine the car and laundry room has a wet dog smell most of the time until now.

Odor removing packs just perfect for setting in area’s where you have more tough odors.

I set the odor removing pack on the window ledge and let it work it’s magic there. The laundry room now smells fresh and clean.

My car no longer has the wet dog smell. Even with the sun roof open I can smell the fresh clean smell circling the car as I drive.

Funny how small spaces can sometimes have a huge odor. Kind of funny, not so funny, huh? PL360 Thank You #MultiPetMania

The whole month of June was packed full of Multiple Pet Mania hosted by Cascadian Nomads, My GBGV and Wag ‘N Woof. I have multiple pets so I contributed to their survey they were doing, added photos to their Instagram #MultiPetMania hashtag, wrote a post about training with multiple pets which you can read here. They had contests and I was the lucky winner of their PL360 basket.

This pet safe cleaning basket couldn’t of come at such a better time. For some reason since I built and have been living in my house for the past 9 years the animals feel the need to make messes in the loft area of my house. I have carpet runners all over the loft so when there is a mess it is easily cleaned up but this day I found a puddle of pee (that I am assuming was from Nellie as she has free range of the house) that went off the carpet runner onto the carpeting. I was going to get my carpet cleaner vacuum out and scrub the carpeting but then the mail man came and brought me these cleaners so perfect timing.

I got to try out the odor and stain remover that is pet safe and citrus scented.

I sprayed it on the area, waited 5 minutes then scrubbed the area with a towel.

Nellie laid right here the whole time I was treating the carpet. She never sneezed, wiped her eyes or got up and moved. So that tells me right there that the products were safe and Nellie approved.

After I cleaned the area I spread the carpet powder over it and let it sit for a couple days since I don’t use that area.

I liked that you had two choices on how much of the powder I wanted dispensed at one time.

It too had a nice citrus scent. After two days I vacuumed it up. Bend down and stuck my butt in the air while I did the sniff test. The urine odor was gone and left was a pleasant citrus smell.

I then moved onto the area rug in the living room where someone puked and there was a nice stain left behind. Now mind you this puke was from who knows when (yes, yes I’m lazy and didn’t get the stain out right away).

You can see the stain by the arrow it was a pretty big stain.

Again Nellie hung out when I cleaned the rug. I sprayed the area, left it sit for 5 minutes then scrubbed it with a towel.

Look at the towel, now that is one bad stain, dirty, dirty, dirty!

Can you see the nice clean rug by the arrow? I’m embarrassed now as the rest of my rug is dirty compared to that spot. Moral of the story is the odor and stain remover really did a great job on a really old stain.

Bring On The Puller Fun~FitDog Friday

While John is spending time with Gambler at the hunt tests on the weekends I make sure I take the girls to the lake for some swim time fun. Glory needs to keep exercising while she is pregnant and Nellie needs to keep exercising as she is older and swimming is easier on her joints. I took The Puller toy with me this day and they had a blast!

Since Gambler was a toy hog I decided to leave him at home while I took the girls to the lake to have some water fun with the toy. I first put the toy in their kitty pool to make sure it didn’t sink. It floated so off to the lake we went.

Since I knew it floated I threw it as far as I could into the lake.

Nellie and Glory had a blast with this toy in the water.

Book Review Prezzies And A Treat

 If you like a story about dogs this book is for you. I just happen to know Bentley & Pierre from their mom/grandma’s blog Barking From The Bayou. I’ve been following the blog from the beginning so I’ve really gotten to know them both, so when reading this book I really felt like I was “there” as I’m like yup that is something Bentley would say and yup that is something Pierre would do. It was fun to read what mischief they were going to get into. I also thought it was cool that their was a Gman in the book since that is what I call Gambler. The book kept me on my toes and I couldn’t wait to turn the pages to find out what was going to happen.

#petbox @petbox ~ Thursday Barks And Bytes

Yesterday Glory was giving out raspberries, who was she giving them too you ask? She was giving them to Gambler and Nellie because….

A couple weeks ago the Sand Spring gang was the lucky winner of a getpetbox.com, #petbox, @petbox giveaway over at Groovy Goldendoodles blog. Poor Glory has been put through the wringer with our last St. Patrick’s Day photo shoot (she hates photo shoots when she has to dress up and sit next to Gambler who growls at her) so I decided that Glory should enjoy opening this box and having it all to herself.

Here is Glory having too much fun with the items in the box.

She was having so much fun, enjoying this box all to herself she didn’t mind this photo shoot. She was across the lawn and I told her to go get something out of her box and she went racing over to it grabbed something and then ran around with it proud as ever. I did this until all things were out of the box.

A great fun game.

There were a couple of toys, couple of chewies and a couple bags of treats. It was a fun box for sure. Once Glory was done with her fun then Gambler and Nellie got to come out and see what all the fun was about.
