Book Review Prezzies And A Treat

If you like a story about dogs this book is for you. I just happen to know Bentley & Pierre from their mom/grandma’s blog Barking From The Bayou. I’ve been following the blog from the beginning so I’ve really gotten to know them both, so when reading this book I really felt like I was “there” as I’m like yup that is something Bentley would say and yup that is something Pierre would do. It was fun to read what mischief they were going to get into. I also thought it was cool that their was a Gman in the book since that is what I call Gambler. The book kept me on my toes and I couldn’t wait to turn the pages to find out what was going to happen.

Here’s what The Return’s is about, taken from their website:

What happens if you arrive at the Pearly Gates before your time?
F.B.I Agent Bentley Clanton finds out the hard way as he is directed to a little-known area devoted to correcting glitches in the longevity system.  The Returns Department specializes in finding appropriate bodies for “early arrivals” before sending them back to earth.  It seemed an acceptable solution until Bentley realizes his new body includes long velvety ears, four stubby legs with giant paws, and a tail.  Helping him adjust to life as a Basset Hound is his rookie Guardian Angel, along with three other canine Returns.
Laugh along as a delightful Golden Retriever, a feisty Chihuahua, and Flamboyant Westie join Bentley to form an unlikely brotherhood of crime-fighting heroes.  The Returns takes you on a fun-loving, junk food eating adventure through the exciting streets of New Orleans during Mardi Gras.
When I told Melissa that I read her e-book and how much I loved it she told me she was sending me a signed copy of The Returns and her second booth The Returns 2 ~Showstoppers. How nice is that!!!!

We got a prezzie.

I think there is something in there for my upcoming Birthday Gman states.

How cool from Melissa, Bentley and Pierre.

Books, beads, treats what a great surprise.

Now to read book number 2.

Books, beads, treats!

Since it is Gamblers Birthday week, he thought he should get the treats as they must of been for him.

Riley’s Organics Peanut Butter and Molasses treats.

The gang loved them!!! I like how they are small, would be great treat for training as it is small and must be chuck full of flavor because the gang went ga ga over them.
Thank you Melissa for your sweet package, can’t wait to get started on book #2.

  1. It sounds like a good book. Hopefully she will bring some with her to Nashville and I can purchase one and have it signed. 🙂

FYI I’ve been using EBUB and getting tons of free books, granted not all of them are well written, but some are decent. :0

  3. How sweet of Melissa! We recently won both of her books, and I can’t wait to get started on them….it sounds like they’ll make for some great summer reading. We got lots of other goodies too that the dogs are pretty excited about (including those same treats…also a hit here).

  4. Melissa is the best isn’t she! I can’t get enough of Bentley and Pierre so I really should pick up a copy of her books too!

Those Rileys treats look quite tasty! I think they would come in handy at Charlie’s training classes!
