Andis Deshedding Tool~Thanks Oz And Andis

A while back – so this post is long over due (sorry Oz) I won a give away over at Oz The Terrier’s place. He was reviewing the Andis Deshedding tool. I couldn’t have won the contest at a better time as my gang was shedding big time.

Nellie was the biggest shedder so she got to test it out first. She has a thick curly double coat.

The excitement is this Deshedding tool by Andis. Andis is actually a company from WI, and the owners of the place where I work know the owners of Andis so we get to use their clippers for shaving our surgery patients. We don’t have any of their other grooming tools so it was nice to get this and try it out.

It really gets down through her thick coat. Has a nice soft handle that is easy to grip and use.

So thanks a lot Oz and Gina for this great tool, we really like it and it will come in handy with 3 adult dogs shedding twice a year.

And of course I couldn’t have a Monday Mischief post without any mischief now could I?

For the past two months it’s been Gambler and I each Wednesday and Friday for hunt test training. We get up, go train with our friends, I go to lunch while Gambler waits then we both go for ice cream. Can’t beat that can you? You all know we had a horrible day on Tuesday so I was in no mood to go training so that meant Gambler was taken away from his normal routine. Gambler knew what day it was and this is what I walked out to after letting him outside to go potty.

My bumper bag, bumpers and umbrella stand spread over the lawn with the bag all ripped up.

Hi mom it’s Wednesday lets got train!

The whole gang got some bumpers thrown for them. Glory thought it was nice to take a break from raising her puppies and retrieve a couple of bumpers.

Gambler will be back to training this Wednesday so hopefully he doesn’t have to give me a big ole hint of which day it is!

Today is also World Pet Memorial Day.

It wasn’t that long ago we said our good-byes we held on to you tight as you closed your eyes Your spirit has flown home on the wings of a dove into God’s loving arm’s; in heaven above

Over the days we’ve shed many tears but the memories we have will live on for years We feel your presence and we know that your near you’re keeping us safe and calming our fear

We think about memories from years past when you were young and strong and ran so fast we remember all the great times that we all had how you always made us happy never made us mad

They were the best and happiest years we had we’ll always look back on them and never be sad We look forward to the time we’ll be together again and we thank the Lord for such a great friend

Now you run and play up in Heaven above cradled in God’s arms covered with his love Playing by the Bridge waiting for the day we come down thru the meadow to the bridge to stay

The love that you showed us we’ll never forget because to us you’re one very special pet You’re like a star in the dark of night always watching over us with the Lord’s light

So now we take time to remember our best friend who will always be with us even to the end We’ll always remember you the way you were one big lovable huggable pile of fur

Thunder Nuzzles Glory From Afar

Lookie lookie what we have here! Thunder sent us some Nuzzles and other goodies.

 

These aren’t the real deal but these Nuzzles are mighty tasty and right now it’s all about food for Glory.

The treats fell to the ground from the deck and who do you think was the first one there? Gman of course he is lightning fast.

The SS gang can’t thank 2browndawgs and Thunder for all the nums. Glory loved her Thunder Nuzzles from afar. If you would like your own Nuzzles you can get your own from The Honest Kitchen.

I was not asked to talk about the honest kitchen, I thought this would make a cute post so I did it with the treats that were given to me as a gift.
