VACCINES: Every dog from HHADR (Hoovers Hause All Dog Rescue) receives 2 DHPP vaccines and 2 bordetella vaccines prior to adoption. Every puppy from HHADR (Hoovers Hause All Dog Rescue) receives 3 DHPP vaccines and 2 bordetella vaccines prior to adoption.
WORMING SCHEDULE: All dogs and puppies are given panacur prior to adoption. This kills all worms except tapeworms from fleas, and for that they are given Iverhart Max, which is also a heartworm prevention medication.
EVERY DOG IS SPAYED OR NEUTERED PRIOR TO ADOPTION. The only exception to this rule is if it is a small breed puppy and they don’t weigh enough. Then the pup is adopted with a legal spay/neuter contract. We follow up on EVERY alter contract!
HHADR ALSO treats preventatively. Since we pull 90% of our dogs and puppies from southern kill shelters, they are exposed to many things while waiting for rescue. We routinely treat ALL dogs and puppies for upper respiratory/kennel cough, coccidia and giarrdea.
EVERY DOG AND PUPPY GETS HEARTWORM AND FLEA/TICK PREVENTION ON THE FIRST OF THE MONTH. WE NEVER adopt out dogs that test positive for heartworms. Every dog over 6 months of age is tested. If they are positive, we do the immiticide treatment, care for them for 30 days and then they are put up for adoption.
About HHADR: We are located in Crenshaw, MS, approximately an hour from Memphis, TN. Our county has NO animal control, therefore we get a LOT of dogs and puppies dumped on our property. HHADR also pulls from 5 surrounding shelters, all of which average a 85-90% kill rate. We vaccinate, alter and treat preventatively ALL dogs and puppies prior to adoption. We house about 30-50 dogs at any given time, depending on size. Each and every one of them are played with, exercised and cleaned up after twice a day. They live in kennels and runs during daylight hours and are brought in at night to learn crate training. ALMOST all our dogs and puppies are crate trained, which is the first step in house breaking your new dog. We do NOT house break dogs while at HHADR, there’s simply not enough hours in the day! However, many of our adults appear to be house broke. We post our dogs in Milwaukee, WI. We do NOT adopt locally, there are simply too many dogs being killed daily due to over population.

AND FINALLY, WHAT WE KNOW ABOUT THIS PARTICULAR DOG: GRIZZLY is a 9 week old, handsome little chesapeake bay retriever mix puppy! He is super sweet, gets along great with dogs, not cat tested. Grizzly was dropped off at a high kill southern shelter with little to no hope of ever getting adopted, so we rescued him. He is as cute as ever, love to give kisses and love to play! Grizzly will be at our adoption event Saturday, Nov. 16th from 10 until 5pm at theTractor Supply company store in Mukwonago, WI. They are at 857 S.Rochester in Mukwonago. MY ADOPTION FEE IS $375.00.
