Pond Opening~FitDog Friday

Our small pond finally opened up after some freezing cold weather this past winter. Last week we took a walk down to the pond just to see if it was open and low and behold it was open. Of course Glory had to be the first one to jump in then the others followed.

Glory going in.

The gang only spend 30 minutes down at the pond, most of it was running around the pond and only a small amount of time swimming. The water hasn’t had a chance to warm up yet so I didn’t let them swim as long as they would of liked to. You can be sure there will be more trips to the pond and longer time spend swimming to get the gang in shape this spring.

The fun and games continue every Friday with FitDog Friday, the weekly Blog Hop brought to you by To Dog With LoveSlimDoggy and Emma from Mygbgvlife to promote a healthy active lifestyle for pets (and their people, too!). 1. Great pictures, we can sure tell that they are all lovin the pond! Swimming is really good exercise for them and that will for sure help get them in shape for summer training. Have fun gang!

  2. What fun they had too by those faces ..the boys had a blast at our reservoir but it will be too cold soon as we approach our cold season..they still love a swim in the cold though but I am a funnard and won’t let them 🙂 great pics 🙂 loves Fozziemum xx

  3. How pawsome that you have your own pond! Our girl Missy would have wanted to jump right in as well ~ she doesn’t have an insulating undercoat though, so the water would have been too cold for her. Your pack must have been in Chesapeake Retriever Water Heaven 🙂

  4. At least they got that first dive of the season in! I love that first big splash by Glory. It looks like they had a great time….Sheba and Luke are jealous!
