Thursday Bark’s And Bytes~Photo Editing

We did a bit of training last week along with some walks in the fresh snow that we gotten over the weekend. I of course took the camera with because about the only thing I like about winter is a small amount of snow and taking pictures in it. It’s hard to take pictures of the dogs in a field of snow as there is to much white so we went into the pine trees and the oaks to try and get some good photos. I found a editing setting in my Corel Paint Shop Pro program so I thought I would try it out. I used a filter with warm earth tones to change these photos.

The first one is the original one and next one is the edited one.

Top picture is the original one the bottom one is the edited one.

I know this was picture overload but I love all the photos I took I just can’t decide if the original or the warm tones are my favorites. What do you all think?

  1. I love how the app added the richer colors. Wow snow makes fabulous photos. Sigh…never going to happen on the bayou. I will just live vicariously through your dogs. Bentley would probably not like the cold anymore than I do, but it is lovely! Stay snuggly warm. ♥

  2. My photographer, aka Mom, edits most of the photos we use. It all depends on the situation whether bright or dim or sharp or not works best. Manual editing usually is better than the auto functions, though.

  3. I love them all but the edited ones (to me) are more vibrant. It’s funny, about the only place I feel I get a good picture of Delilah is in the snow. 🙂 She just stands out against that white backdrop.

Thanks for joining the blog hop~~

  4. I love all of the photos, I’m glad you shared them all! In most cases I like the warmer photos, but some are just a tad too dark and look better brighter. I want to work on my photography this year and getting some good photo software is on the list to help. I use the free programs now, but each one has limits in what it will do.
Are you happy with the Corel program you use? It does look like it does a lot.
