ABOUT SADIE

Sadie is a 7 year old female dead grass Chessie that is new to CRROW. Sadie weighs 77 pounds, and is spayed. She is also recovering from LYME disease . Sadie has all of her vaccines, and is micro chipped also.

Sadie is very sweet with people. She is a good rider-very quiet in the car. She walks well on lead also. She LOVES everyone and is ok with kids. Sadie has the typical “I want to be right by you” Chessie trait.

When Sadie was very young she was attacked by another dog (which is why she doesn’t like other dogs). She lost most of the vision in her right eye due to this. Our vet said she can probably see shadows, but no real vision in that eye.

Sadie will need a home where she is the only special dog due to that attack when she was young.. She cannot be with cats, A required fenced yard will give her the access to exercise and fun, and not allow her to chase cars, as she did when she was an outside , unsupervised dog.

Taken from CRROW facebook page: Went to visit Sadie yesterday. Took her some new toys and treats We went for a walk which she liked. She does quite well on lead. Sadie still needs a foster home or a forever home where she will be the one and only. No cats either. She surely is good with people. She loves to be talked to and petted and has the Chessie “I want to be close to you” .She is clean in her kennel and so far has not ripped up her padded bed. Sadie will be a wonderful companion.For what she has endured, she deserves a good home with a family that loves her.

We are desperately seeking housing options for Sadie. She is currently in a kennel. Sadie needs a home with NO Dogs and NO cats. She LOVES people. Sadie is currently in a kennel because we have no animal free foster homes. This is one of those bad situations where Rescues are stuck with a dog in need, no foster and limited funds. Kennel cost is $15/day. If you can’t foster, can you sponsor a day?
